About The Artist
Kenna Mai was born in Phoenix, AZ, but was raised in the city of Avondale. She graduated with an AA and AAFA from the Maricopa Community College District in the fall of 2019 and graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT in 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Drawing and Painting.
In 2017, Kenna Mai worked to produce a hand-painted umbrella that was to be auctioned by the Umbrella Project to help build up youth programs in low-income communities. She has shown her work in the Agua Fria Show of the Arts in 2017, the Estrella Mountain Student Juried Art Show in 2018 and 2019, the Estrella Mountain Student Art Show at the Avondale Civic Library in April of 2019, the Dia de Los Muertos Student Show in October of 2019, The Student Juried Art Exhibition at Westminster College in 2022 and the Senior Art Exhibit at Westminster College in 2022. Her work has also been featured in the Mariposa Literally Review in 2018, the spring issue of Blue Guitar magazine in 2019 and 2022, and was an Honorable Mention in the 53rd volume of The Traveler in 2020.
